The lodge is located off the easterly end of 18 Mile island
at the junction of North and Main channels of the river. The surrounding
landscape is awe-inspiring with 6 sets of white water rapids as close as 1/4
mile from camp to the Chaudiere rapids which are 10 miles from camp. Combine
this with hundreds of miles of deep shoreline, and numerous bays and islands
and you'll quickly realize why the French River area is one of the most
beautiful in Ontario. The nature enthusiasts can enjoy hiking the
marked trails of the island which lead to 2 sets of rapids and a huge beaver
colony.
